We still had very little to talk about. I thought it would taste better than it did, but the raspberry sauce was lovely. My Mom is on the Parent's Society, so had been asked to be one of the models, along with another woman.

When the palettes were both held against her skin the warm ones obviously looked better. Then my Mom was up on stage. It was harder to tell with her, but I would say the cool palette spring was a little more striking against her. I don't think my Mom was pleased, as she wears very warm colours, but she's lucky because they all look good on her really.

Then she went back stage to get her new outfit, while the woman talked to us about the clothes best for us. I didn't necessarily agree when she talked about how to dress with big boobs. As someone who probably has some of the biggest natural boobs in the country I had to totally disagree. She said wear long necklaces - they just hang off my boobs like a shelf.

There were a few other things she said which I had to say from experience were totally wrong. Hannah agreed. Then they were ready to show us the clothes.

Then my Mom came out. Apparently they'd lost the blazer they'd picked out for her. Then the woman fastened the cardi, which was unflattering. But the jeans looked good. I took some photos on her camera for her - shocked at the quality, I must say I've been quite spoiled by my cameras.

One of my Mom's friends commented that she'd never realised just how skinny my Mom was. That was nice - I've got to remember to tell her that. They really were lovely. The queue in the bathroom was quite long, but she only needed to wash her hands. We headed back but were a little too nervous to walk through the tent while everyone was focusing on the raffle. I replied that they probably had nothing better to do with their time. She said she didn't mind though.

Which isn't true anyway. I tried to catch her eye to say goodbye, but she didn't look at me. I'm not sure if she was purposefully ignoring me, or just thought I wasn't worth the bother. I felt a twinge of guilt then, but I really hadn't know what to say to her. She said it happened seventeen years ago, which made me feel less bad. My Mom said it shouldn't make any difference that it had happened seventeen years ago, but it does, even if just a little bit.

If it had just happened very recently then I would have admired her for being able to come out to an event like this, because I certainly wouldn't be able to. But after seventeen years I probably would have been able to leave the house.

So that's the difference. She also very kindly gave us money for afternoon tea - I'm sure it was free last time. Jean was serving, so I said hey. I thought that was very nice of her. Boffey had a tennis match, so she was asking if we were still having the meal. I said it was up to them. Hannah think that Hazel's estimation of her has gone down now. After finishing our afternoon tea we headed outside the tent.

The weather had been so up and down - cool, windy, hot, humid. We then saw Dave AR walking over to talk to the boys on the benches. He's back from UCLA to go to the ball with his girlfriend. I think she was a bit pissed off with the girls we used to hang out with at school, so we were looking at what they'd been doing recently. It's the type of music I used to listen to all the time, but over the last year or so - probably more - it's become a bit samey to me.

I do like their single 'Lost in Stereo' though. Max called me on the way home to apologise for not seeing me today. He said he'd been in school for the last four hours, but he'd just been so busy. He said he might see me tomorrow, but he probably won't. They were particularly nice. Usually we take photos, or watch movies, or bake.

We couldn't exactly bake now. So it was either movies or photos. We decided we'd have to put up some of the really bad ones of people we knew. I then read until the party finished about an hour later. There were no cranberry puffs left. Great sadness. I read some more until my parents called me up to watch TV with them all. My Mom said she couldn't have them because of her teeth, so I had the last one. My Mom was still partially awake, so I told her how lovely this day had been. I felt a bit sad that my Dad basically tentatively asked me if I wanted to watch it with them.

I don't mean to be stroppy about watching it. But really I like spending time with them all. Bibi Blocksberg is a German series of radio drama for children, created in by Elfie Donnelly.

The main character is a girl called Bibi Blocksberg, who is a witch. I'm burning through my mb photo limit, damn I'm sorry! I will catch up! There are many sunsets I have seen and captured which people would think were edited or color processed but have been SOOC - straight out of camera. This blood-red orange yellow gold sunset from last night is another one of those mind-blowing ones. It is a panorama stitched from 4 handheld raw photos taken with a 14 years years old Nikon D No editing was needed, other than actually reducing the original MB image to 50MB.

It will likely be posted as a MB file online. But the colors are absolutely unprocessed either in or out of the camera! Talk about mind-blowing. This is an old cartoon I drew probably a decade or so ago. Just when I was teaching myself Photoshop, I scanned this in and colored it in. The original file was saved on a Mac formatted MB zip disc, along with most of my cartoons and pieces from that period. Unfortunately, I never transferred them to disc, so now all my old stuff is basically sitting on a zip until I can find somone with a Mac and a zip drive.

So have you ever had one of those days when it seems the World has literally gone insane and everyone everywhere is spirallying into destruction? Making plans for holidays next summer. Took my Eagle Tourer out for a short spin to check if it's ready and fit for any upcoming camping trips. My Eagle Tourer is a refurbished classic Transport model.

The passenger pod is fitted with modern interior designed for light leisure travel. It bunks four, there is also a lounge and a small kitchenette.

Toilet and shower took a little effort to fit in because, as you know, spaceships rarely have them, but in the end, they went in and work like a charm. With the Tourer, any trip is a hoot. You can fly wherever you like bar non-flying zones and live in the comfort of the Tourer pod. Holidays — I can't wait!

It looks great, better than I had anticipated even, and I loved to build it, but those pipes! Oh man, masking them in Photoshop is a nightmare. Especially the spine structure on top, it's a major pain to make look nice and clean. I am not going to enjoy making these as much as I thought I would, but it's sill more fun than a barrel of monkeys. I hope you enjoy my video with some of the many pictures I took this past Summer and I hope you like the music too.

I am very happy to be reunited with my old piano after more than six years and very happy to share this with you. Thank you to all who love every aspect of me. I treasure and respect you! For my dearest and wisest Friend, Khaled. Other than piano solos and duets I have only ever sung Christmas carols while playing piano. For all other things I have used guitar, but now you have planted the idea in my head, for you I will try sometime in the future.

Feedback for Flickr : It is very generous to allow 1GB for videos, but I continue to have to sacrifice the quality of sound and imagery in my videos by having to compress the file so small so that it will not continously time out when I upload! Thank you! This video was less than MB to begin with and still would not load. It is now compressed to less than MB. This ended up being a MB image. Also used a three stop graduated filter. A chocolate box special, sorry not terribly exciting but I loved the colours and the stillness of the day. The river Dee winding it's way to Queenies Balmoral.

Everyone knows how the original World Trade Center, the twin towers, were like a personal symbol to me, even before I became an American citizen. As a Gemini twin I related to them doubly more. I had watched in horror as the towers had come crumbling down, as had world peace. I still love visiting the memorial site though I have to admit, the new so-called WTC does nothing for me.

I was even annoyed that the builders chose to make it smaller, shorter than the original towers instead of taller and even more imposing. I wanted the new towers to tell the world, you cannot knock us down. Just like my personal attitude in life, no matter how many times you are knocked down, you have to rise up, taller, higher, more capable, more powerful than before.

Making the small generic looking tower for fear of it being a target again was cowardly and un-American in my opinion. But I still visit the area of my previous favorite memories. This full x spherical panorama was created from around 2 dozen handheld photos I took with the Samsung Note8 my brother had given me as a gift a few years ago. The original photos, and the panorama colors and image details are SOOC, straight out of camera, with no editing.

For the crappy photo quality platforms like Facebook it will likely show up as a 2MB image. But it gives you a sense of the area, despite the repairs and construction always going on there. This one-off boat was built by Goodchild Marine Services at Gt. Yarmouth and is based on a 38ft.

The boat was built for Caister and served from to with several notable services. Her longest service was on 25th. December to the Singapore-registered tons bulk gas carrier Kilgas Centurian which had run aground on the beach at Horsey Gap. The 81 metre ship had left Teesport and was heading to the Thames carrying 1, tonnes of liquid propane gas, tonnes of diesel fuel, and 45 tonnes of gasoil.

The ship was refloated with the aid of two tugs, Smit Tak and Anglia Duke. The tugs were assisted by Caister's lifeboat which took depth sounding, transfer equipment and connected tow lines. What is regarded as Bernard Matthews finest service took place on the th. I write to say that my admiration for the work of the lifeboatmen has been further intensified following a SAR incident in the early hours of 9 Dec.

The barometer had been falling markedly since the previous midday from around mb to , and the winds associated with this low had bought Force 9 conditions with steady 40kt westerlies gusting over 65kts, and a confused sea that was certainly a state 6, and at times 7. It was impossible to launch my own Lynx helicopter as the deck was well out of limits, and in the event it was not SAR capable. All of us were substantially built vessels, yet having great difficulty in manoeuvring for a search in the prevailing conditions.

However, the Caister lifeboat continued to make way into all of this, and on raising his blue light we were able to vector him into the scene of search - a 7 square mile area SE of the datum promulgated by Great Yarmouth CG and agreed by me as of probability in which a man would drift to if fortunate enough to stay on the surface.

To me the lifeboat looked like a "BREDE" class, and it was clear it was working at the very limits of, if not beyond, it's operating envelope, yet the Coxswain remained a cheerful voice on VHF with an incredible sense of determination and professionalism towards the search. Indeed my people were simply amazed as to how this small craft had managed to get to the scene.

He sensibly elected to stay near to me as we swept through the area and must have been extremely uncomfortable in the conditions as time and time again he regularly disappeared beneath the high waves, and turning across the sea must have been particularly dangerous. One of my Bridge team was detailed to keep the lifeboat sighted.

Sadly, and it could be argued almost inevitably, we were unable to find the MOB. Following the guidance of Great Yarmouth CG regarding the line where no further hope remained of survival, I terminated the search after a few hours at , and released the merchant ships from the area.

During this six hour transit into sea, the lifeboatmen remained their very professional and cheerful selves, and as dawn broke we were able to see all the more clearly how much he was moving around and still being lost in the waves. My Flight Observer has taken some photographs which I shall forward to Caister. All who witnessed, including some Army personnel who were embarked with me at the time, the lifeboat's work and fortitude were full of admiration for the courage that the crew displayed.

As one of my sailors on the Bridge remarked. Throughout this incident your people showed incredible bravery and stamina - indeed just getting there and risking their own necks against the slimmest of chances of finding the MOB alive are testimony to their courage. Whilst I know this is part of the RNLI creed, in any persons book, this was, at it least an extraordinary effort and feat of seamanship, and certainly a very brave and sensitive response to save the life of a fellow seafarer.

If nothing else, you may find a few more coins in the lifeboat slot next time one of my men goes past the collecting box. This letter is testimony to the heroic exploits of the Caister crew. At the time of writing, Commander Moncrieff did not realise that the Caister Lifeboat is not part of the RNLI, subsequently he later carried out a surprise visit to the station and met Coxswain Dick Thurlow and his crew.

He expressed personally his admiration of their efforts on that eventful night. When Caister received their new lifeboat the Bernard Matthews was purchased to operate as an independent lifeboat at Blyth following the widthdrawl of the RNLI's all-weather lifeboat from the port.

It served as the "Spirit of Blyth and Wansbeck" until This is an old Zip disk. Amazing how fast this became low tech. But old computer disks are great objects to paint on. After a full week of non-stop stuffed baby octo harvesting, the bots get confused and tangled up in their work. This guy needs an ice cold bottle of 5w and a few hours in the Z-pod. Since I do this with every new significant hardware, it was the Sigma's turn. This might be the first one where you can read the mileage.

It makes you want to take every shot you ever took, again-- but certainly there are shots the M9 can capture that this can't and it's way more reliable, and you don't have to deal with mb tiff files.

But look at that steering wheel! Mount Elephant is a metre-high conical breached scoria cone formed by a dormant volcano, located 1 km from the town of Derrinallum in southwestern Victoria, Australia. This image has been created by stitching 14 exposures taken in portrait configuration together using a mm lens. The final file was over mb and I had to resize it to upload it. Makes you wonder why I bothered in the 1st place.

I spotted a couple of troublesome areas, but was consuming some of the subject while working on the image Image was lit with a Profoto B10 in a medium deep umbrella, with diffuser, and a large white reflector. Hasselblad pushed out a firmware update today for the X1D-II, which added focus-braketting to the camera - I will learn this new tool, but for now i just stick with a 15 degree turn on the lens focus ring between shots.

To get this size with a 20mm wideangle I had to take 2 upside pictures and each 3 times. I know how much Niko likes nature So I took some time to learn how to layer my own bokeh textures onto the original and then adjusted it pink by playing with the colour curves. This pic is one of my archives from my Punggol's beach walk in April, when I was still using my old canon D I'm so glad that I can upload again, cos i have exceed the MB quota for my free flickr acount in July, I've been wanting to upload this earlier to dedicate it to Niko but couldn't Today was a realyl good day, I was inspired by varius images I saw today at an art exhibition at a Uni.

There was some good work there. Then I went for a very long walk to this field again and it was so hot, the field looked bright white in the sun. It was definatly the wow factor. Then I went home to watch the England match and we got through the next round. Went round my friends and had a massive game of football, I managed to accident to hurt the keeper in the worst place ever, but followed it up with a goal.

Just rewards maybe? But fun times. And this Is Jordan Sibley She has just started a , although she hasn't uploaded for awhile, she used all the mb limit just as she started it. View On Black. My friends Shabir Patel and Mohd Patel who own a production studio "Samson" has a wall in their studio where all these storage media hold pride of place.

I loved the way they were placed and the way these two brothers had treasured all this from almost past 3 decades. I just thought to capture it and took them all out from that special wall to a nearby beach and shot this picture.

So this is a temporary photo for until I upload the expansion shot I worked on the night before. The file size is over 20mb by like mb For now enjoy the welcoming of fall!!!!! Buona Visione. I must apologise about my lack of activity on Flickr. I am still passionate about photography but struggle to find the time take photos, process them and keep in touch with all my friends on Flickr as well as living a busy life out side of Flickr.

If I have not stopped by your stream for a while forgive me It is nothing personal I am still keeping a silent eye on most of you guys. This is 4 x 40mb handheld images merged in PS on my iMac. The resultant 10gb TIFF was just too big to work with so I resized it down to mb without any loss of detail or resolution.

This shot For my first 3 years here I have used a free Flickr account. Today, I finally broke down and bought a Pro account. With an 18MP, video capable, Canon 7D as my primary photographic tool, the MB per month limit is finally starting to become a bother. You'll see some major reorganization on my Flickr page in the coming month, as I upload many older images, and organize my sets by theme. I've heavily processed this photo I like the "moodiness" of the shot, but I accidentally underexposed it by a bunch, and at ISO the image quality was horrendous.

Dear friend this is one of the last uploads for me in this month, because my upload limit of mb is over. Untill I get a pro account Endlich ist der Monat Februar vorbei. Ich hab wieder MB Speicherplatz frei. Well , i use PS now a days more than before. If you will see my first few pages of photostream ,you will see. The bit TIFF was then put through Topaz with a default "Photo-Pop" processing with some tweaks, and then exported to Photoshop to mask out the movement using a 0 EV exposure tonemapped via Photomatix layer.

This file mb is put through Viveza, to bring out local brightness and colors in the glass and interior lights. Finally put the entire file through Noise Ninja and tweaked contrast, saturation and toned down the purple CA in Aperture.

In reality, however, you might reach the limit of your home wi-fi network, which can start slowing down when you have lots of devices connected at the same time. With a download speed of Mbps, you can download an entire music album in about 7 seconds.

It will take 5 minutes to download a HD-quality film p quality and about 27 minutes to download an ultra-HD quality movie 4K quality. The following table shows the expected download time for multiple different types of file on a Mbps connection:. If your broadband connection has a Mbps download speed, this refers to the speed at your router or hub.

This may be different from the actual speed on your individual devices. If you're connecting to the internet over wi-fi, the download speed on individual devices may be slower than Mbps. This is often due to poor wi-fi or congestion from other networks. This will stop you from getting the full potential of your broadband service.

For instance, you might experience buffering when watching videos online due to poor wi-fi, even if your broadband connection is able to support it. Where possible, you should use a wired Ethernet connection to get the fastest available speeds.

If you're not able to do this, look at ways to improve the wi-fi signal in your home. Getting a wi-fi repeater or a mesh wi-fi system such as BT Whole Home Wi-Fi or Google Wi-Fi can be a highly effective way of improving speeds on your home wi-fi network. The following table shows how much you'd need to pay for a broadband service with different download speeds. It also shows the percentage availability amongst UK households:. For more information, see our in-depth guides on download speed and upload speed.

You can also read our other home broadband guides , including our review of all the major UK broadband internet providers. We'd love to hear your thoughts and any questions you may have. So far, we've received 4 comments from readers. You can add your own comment here. So what I can gather from this unless your house hold is in excess of people then you will not see any day to do benefit from moving from a mbps broadband to a mbps broadband? The age of the slower broadband provider is coming to an end, in fact, as far as Lowestoft is concerned, that age is now over because Ultrafast Fibre is here, Gigabit broadband is now a reality in the town.

I shall be connected to the Gigabit service in just 2 weeks time and I shall have a mbps connection, a massive step up on my current BT Infinity service. I am one of the lucky ones living in a cabled area and signed up for mbps. I am less lucky though in that, whilst it may be possible in theory to get this kind of service, in practice it is often in the mbps range and sometimes even achieving 0mbps.

Many others in the area experience the same but the ISP refuses to accept there is a problem. They simply suggest that we pay yet more for a higher service but without providing any guarantee on what will actually be delivered.
